After taking all of the love steps in Jesus’ claim, it is important to recognize the nuances contained within these statements as well. These nuances are vital to fully achieving our goal of peaceful flourishing for humanity. From a pragmatic minimalist perspective, I am going to highlight five nuances: personhood, unconditional love, unconditional positive regard, personal responsibility, and human equality. These five conditions are built into Jesus’ claim, along with the three steps and types of love.
