Personhood is the recognition that each human being, regardless of stage, age, or any other differentiating factor, is always worthy of the dignity of full personhood within the human community. In logical terms, it seems odd that this statement would even need to be made. Of course a person is a person. Imagine the world we would live in if humanity accepted that as unequivocally true, and if human beings saw that humanity is not what it could be until each person had reached their full potential….
